Golds, gold fronts, slugs, grills. Four different names, four different eras. Gold teeth have long been a staple part of hip-hop culture and just like the music itself, they are constantly evolving.
Mouth Full of Golds charts the evolutionary journey of gold grills as documented through the life and times of the art-form’s creator, Famous Eddie who customized the smiles of rap’s biggest icons, one tooth at a time. Alongside his sibling apprentice, Lando - the brothers witnessed the ‘big bang’ of hip-hop in America first hand and set out to ride the wave of the music’s popularity as the sound evolved, simultaneously forging their legacy in New York, Miami and Atlanta.
